Our museum offers one of the largest fossil collections in Eastern Kentucky.

First Americans

Our museum shows Native artifacts from the Big Sandy section of Pike and Floyd counties in Kentucky, the Tug Fork section along the KY-WV border, and the Guyandotte Valley in West Virginia. We also present artifacts from southcentral Kentucky.

Early Settlers and Pioneer Life

Our museum shows history and artifacts relating to early settlers who discovered and occupied the Big Sandy region prior to 1840. We also feature artifacts relative to pioneer life.
